Jihad in Perspective of The Glorious Qur'an Part-2

Now previously we were discussing about Surah Baqarah. When I will tell you what I have come to understand and I am not trying to say this actually due to fear and I am not trying to say this out of anger. I believe that is one of the most grossest mis-interpretation of the Qur'an in Islamic history and a lot of scholars do believe it.
Academically I have to be truthful with all due respect to their position I am so deeply convinced of this position and I see that actually as a gross error in our history. That the perpetual nature of Jihad and that it must continue to go on. I don't see that as the case and I don't mean to say that they are misguided or wrong and some people obviously Jihad is a delicate subject for lot of people and when you talk about it like that, They are like how dare you to say that. I'll summarize the argument for you for why I don't believe that Surah Tauba can be used that way.

The Punishment of Previous Nation

Any prophet that ever came, can you name some prophets that are talked about in the Qur'an?
Moses(pbuh), Noah(pbuh) and many more. So let's take Moses and Noah (pbut)
Virtually every messenger that came, they came to a nation they tried to preach to the nation but majority of them they actually disbelieved. And when they disbelieved what did Allah(swt) do with that nation, he destroyed them. That's actually Allah's sunnah the way Allah does things. So the way Allah deal with one nation will be the same parameter of justice the same standard he will deal with another.
Study Surah Shua'raa you will find nation after nation prophet after prophet destruction after destruction same tragedy actually repeating itself.
Now second thing when destruction comes when the flood came to Noah(pbuh), when the water came crashing down on Firaun(pharoah). About to completely crush him does the water stop and then Allah says I know you haven't taking me seriously so far what about now are you interested now as you know what is going to happen does Allah ever do that?
Actually NO once the punishment begins it's the death penalty. That's it . So there are two destruction of a nation. Destruction in this world and then there is a punishment in the afterlife for anybody who became an enemy to prophets while they were alive.
They have to face consequences in this world and in the next world. I hope this is clear that has been the way Allah does things all along.

What About Us?

Now ours is the last prophet(saw) in his lifetime he had a few primary audiences. I will name just a couple of them. The people of Makkah and the people of madina is the primary audience
A good number of those people did not believe in him even by the end of his career. Is that true? Yes.
So the mushrikoon of makkah and madina who did not believe in him they were jews and christians. Now the formula that Allah(swt) has always given is when a prophet is disbelieved and you have become enemies of that prophet you don't just pay for that in hell. You have to pay for that here first.
So there should be something like the flood of Noah(pbuh). There should be something like the fire from the sky for Luth(pbuh) nation.
Has not that something been Allah talking about those nations and their destructions in this world throughout the Qur'an. And he's been telling the Quraysh look it's coming to you too. You better watch it. But he did not say that.
What is the only Surah in the Qur'an that does not have [Bismillahi arrehman arraheem] in it. That's Surah Tauba.
What does Bismillahi arrehman arraheem means? In the name of Allah the one who is exceedingly loving caring and merciful. Now let's go back to the story of Noah(pbuh) he lived approx 950 years. He is preaching and Allah continues to be merciful that one day Allah pauses his mercy and send his punishment. The punishment of Allah to the people who became enemies of the prophet while he was among them.
In Surah Tauba there is a reason it didn't come with bismillah because this is a surah of azab(punishment) on them. Instead of sending fire from the sky or a flood. Allah tells us and this is the only time he says it. chapter 9 verse 14
"Fight them Allah is going to punish them by your hands" The sahaba are told no longer I will send punishment from sky you will be the delivery  of Allah's punishment on them. By the way Jihad is never called a punishment anywhere other than this place. Why?
Because Jihad is always about self defense that we studied. Jihad is about fighting for your own right.
Jihad was never about torture or punishment except in which Surah? Surah Tauba.
And because the sahaba are now doing Allah's will. This by the way is a mercy of Allah because if Allah destroyed them there will be none of them left and he did not destroy them right away. This is an extra mercy of Allah that he made an exception what's the exception?
Will continue from here in the next blog. Feel free to ask question I will try my best to answer. And share this knowledge with others also.
